Cornerstone Custom Homes was founded in 2017 when Scott Penny, taking all legal skills from being a real estate lawyer, decided it was time to follow in the footsteps of his father, Tom Penny, and become a second generation builder. Scott was able to soon discover that he was naturally gifted at being able to build homes and develop lasting relationships in the process. Shortly thereafter, Scott’s wife Katie began taking on the real estate side of the business and the Cornerstone we know today was born. From its inception, Cornerstone was built on two foundational principles of our faith. Servant leadership and generous giving.

Scott’s legal experience taught him a commitment to providing clients timely attention with a focus on resolving issues quickly while providing first class results. These skills have served him well in building. There are many builders that claim to be custom but there are very few that are custom from the ground up.

Cornerstone specializes in one of a kind custom homes with an attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. Our vision for every home is built with a belief that the home is a safe haven and should be the creative expression of its owner. So whether it is a traditional home, a modern home, or somewhere in between we can do it all.

We deliberately reduce the amount of homes we build each year to ensure they highest quality standards and direct personal attention with Scott on each and every build. While some builders may use a large team to complete a build, we believe that this does not lend itself well to custom homes in light of the hundreds of decisions that need to be made in the creative process. Our building philosophy is simple: If you can dream it, we can build it!
